Tip for Problem 1

Prepare a report comparing the fabrication of a populated circuit board with an integrated circuit.

• What steps were taken to connect what should be connected and not what should not be?
• What are the key features of all circuits.
• Carefully examine component placement and/or creation.
• Carefully consider the creation of conductive paths and the insulation between them.
• A comparison includes similarities and differences. You cannot compare something you do not describe.
• A description of a process is not just a list of steps. It includes why what is done is done.
• Googling is in general a waste of time. If you choose to use graphics from the class notes or book, reference them as such. [Class Notes] [Book]. If you get anything from the Web reference the link so I can check it.
• I strongly suggest 1) creating a bullet list of ideas (maybe copied and pasted from your notes or the book), 2) organizing the list, 3) turning the organized list into the answer. Copy and Paste, Copy and Paste.
